This is a story of a modern Australian family and is set to be a moving theatre experience that audiences will be talking about long after the 8-show season ends. 

Things I Know To Be True is an intimate, tender, warm, funny and ultimately tragic family drama about a suburban couple called Bob and Fran Price.  Each of their four grown children must deal with a crisis, break the bond with their parents and become the people they need to be.   

Some of the crises are no doubt controversial but Bovell handles the story with a candid insight that is both sensitive and brutally frank.

Above all, this is a story about love, family, growing up, having your heart broken and being strong enough to move on anyway. 

The Rondo is known for its diverse annual season of plays, sourced from both Australian and international playwrights. 

The Rondo’s intimate stage creates the ideal setting for this penetrating piece of theatre.  A strong cast of local actors, coupled with the Rondo’s state of the art lighting and sound and a stunning set will create a memorable experience for Cairns’ theatre lovers.
